In their own words...
"Living on campus is a life experience I have learned so much from. We eat together, watch TV together, study together, and do absolutely nothing together. When I go home for breaks, it's like I'm leaving my second family!"
- Jess Cutler, Class of '10, from FL

News on Ronald H. Bayes

Ron Bayes served as one of three keynote speakers honoring Anthony Abbott at the annual meeting of the North Carolina Writers Conference. Dr. Abbott's first book, The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat, was published by St. Andrews College Press -- as were two subsequent volumes of his verse. Dr. Abbott is Professor of Writing, Emeritus, at Davidson College. Another of the three keynote speakers was Joseph Bathanti, professor of creative writing at Appalachian State University. Bathanti, a former member of the St. Andrews faculty, is the 2008 recipient of the Spokane Fiction Award, whose winning book, The High Heart, is being used in the One Book, One Community program at St. Andrews. He will spend three days on the St. Andrews campus and in the Laurinburg community in September for discussions of the book.
