SAU’s Community Music School Spring Recital

The Community Music School spring recital participants

Laurinburg, NC - The St. Andrews University Community Music School held a spring recital on May 18 in the Hagan Choral Room of Vardell Hall.

The students of Alice Wilkins and Marjorie Hinson performed selections on violins, guitars, ukuleles, piano and xylophone as well as singing.

Toni Farmer, Vy Pham, Yuzuki Nakamura, Aislyn Pegues, Aidan Lopez, Claire Carmichael, Lena Berry, Jermarah Hale, Ana Huesa, Anna Osborne, Haley McGugan, Christina Berry, Katie Carmichael, Destiny Nealy, Asa Stickland, Allen McCoy, and Jadelyn Ray performed on piano.

Ukelele performances were given by Jack Herr, Will Jackson, Lena Berry and Philip Berry.

RJ Turnage, Alex Garrigus, Shamiya Ramathulla, Kayla Kirkley and Kyle McCoy shared their vocal talents in the performance.

Students sharing their guitar skills were Yusei Nakamura, Alex Garrigus, Jamie Jackson, Chirstian Molina, Shamiya Ramathulla, Samuel LaVigne, Kayla Kirkley, Shareen Ramathulla and Kyle McCoy.

Wilson Hawn performed a Russian folk song on guitar before Zoi Pegues, Ethan Webber, Madeleine Webber, Christian Molina, Leah Webber and Rebecca Simmons performed on violin.

The recital ended with Canon in D performed by the St. Andrews Community Music School Orchestra.
