The St. Andrews Pipe Band is one of the university's most visible organizations and has become one of the top competing pipe bands in the southern United States.

St. Andrews represented at NCAAHPERD conference

Laurinburg, N.C. – Physical education major Morgan Farroll and Assistant Professor of Education Tony Cates represented St. Andrews Presbyterian College at the North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NCAAHPERD) conference in Winston-Salem.

The 63rd annual statewide convention included two and a half days of workshops, classroom presentations and participation sessions at the M.C. Benton Jr. Convention Center. According to the organization’s website, NCAAHPERD members and guests gather for the opportunity to grow professionally, collaborate with colleagues, renew old friendships and make new friends.”

The NCAAHPERD is one of the oldest professional associations in North Carolina dedicated to the advancement of research and education within the fields of Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
