SAPC choir concert to feature variety

Laurinburg, N.C. – The St. Andrews Presbyterian College Chamber and Concert Choirs will present a fall concert on Monday, Oct. 18, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Vardell Lobby.

Admission is free and doors will open at 7 p.m. for seating.

“Our choir members hail from eight states, ranging from North Carolina to California, and two foreign countries, Ecuador and Papua New Guinea,” said Dr. William T. McConnell, choir conductor. “They will perform secular and sacred selections ranging from Stephen Sondheim’s musical Sunday in the Park with George to a newly composed setting of Jubilante Deo (Praise the Lord) by New Zealand composer David Childs.”

Accompanist Sean Moore and McConnell will also perform solo selections during the concert.
