CAIRN submissions policy

CAIRN editors read manuscripts from September to December. Notification of rejection or acceptance occurs within four months. Mail submissions in hard copy—two to five poems, one short story, one essay, or one creative nonfiction piece—to the following address:

There is no length restriction on poems or fiction. Include an SASE. We do not return manuscripts.

Recently, CAIRN was a featured journal on “Poetry Daily” at www.poems.com with Jean Monahan as the featured poet for her poem “The Scientists Explain.”


Recent contributors have been Dana Gioia, Robert Creeley, Jonathan Williams, Richard Blanco, Maudy Benz, Ted Enslin, and Jeffery Beam.
