Hike to the Cup Stone
CUP STONE:For our aggro archeology class we were assigned to sketch the cup stone. Through Tirol, several large stones have been found that have cup indentations on the surface, it is unknown what they were used for but it is known that they were created . Perry, Sarah, Amy, Dustin and Elise set out on the hour hike one beautiful Sunday. |
The stone was not as impressive as we had imagined, however the view of the valley was spectacular. There were about 13 one-inch round hollows and a cross or "X" covering about five feet of the rock. |
Sarah and Dustin making Elise happy by stopping for a photo opp! |

Amy is about to cry due to the shock of learning her water bottle spilled on her most prized possession, Rooney’s camera. |
Perry and Dustin on the hike back to Brunnenburg. |
Perry found a branch and cleaned off the cup stone so we could see the cups better. |
Amy wondering if we walked an hour to see these tiny hollows. |
