More about Ed Williams |

| What brought you to St. Andrews? I accepted the position with St. Andrews University based on a desire to continue my career in music education after retirement from the Public Schools of NOrth Carolina. I am excited about returning to music instruction after a number of years in educational administration. If you could teach any course on any subject, what would it be and why? Actually, I am teaching two of the courses I have always wanted to teach on the college/university level, Choir and Vocal Instruction. I want to share with my students the love and knowledge of choral and vocal music instilled in me by my professors. What are some of your hobbies and areas of interest outside academic life? Outside of academic life, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my grandchildren, James, age 7, and Christy, age 6, from Charlotte. I also enjoy and spend much time with my Director of Music responsibilities at First United Methodist Church, Laurinburg. If you weren’t a university professor, what would you be doing? If I were not a university professor, I would probably be a full-time church musician. |
