St. Andrews is an independent, co-educational,

the willingness to participate in the St. Andrews General Education
Program. The College, which traces its origin to 1896, is affiliated
with the Presbyterian Church (USA). St. Andrews is located in
the city of Laurinburg (population @ 17,000) in the Sandhills
region of North Carolina, midway between the Atlantic coast beaches
and the mountains. All positions require the following, except
as noted in each discipline: 1) application letter; 2) current
curriculum vitae; 3) original transcripts from all colleges/universities;
4) three current letters of reference; 5) evidence of teaching
effectiveness and excellence.
FACULTY
POSITIONS
Biology: Assistant or Associate Professor in Biology, tenure track, beginning fall 2010. PhD in Biology or related discipline is preferred, ABD will be considered. The successful candidate will have expertise in an animal science, such as zoology or related field, and will be expected to teach majors and non-majors courses. Such courses could include introductory biology, anatomy and physiology, zoology, animal behavior, and possibly cellular or microbiology. Curricular and program development affecting both majors and non-majors will also be expected. Other responsibilities include teaching in the interdisciplinary liberal arts general education program, advising, and mentoring undergraduate research projects with a view to presentation and publication. Candidates with interests in equine-related biology are especially encouraged to apply.
