FACULTY
POSITIONS
Assistant Professor of English: American Literature Generalist
St. Andrews Presbyterian College announces a tenure track position for an Assistant Professor of English with specialization in American Literature to begin August 2009 (Pending funding). Ph. D. required; additional credentials (MA or MFA) in Creative Writing preferred. The normal teaching load is four courses a semester, including lower and upper level literature courses, freshman composition, and Creative Writing. The successful candidate will be an American literature generalist with the ability to teach a wide range of courses, demonstrate enthusiastic and effective teaching at the undergraduate level, and maintain productive scholarship. Candidates should have a strong interest in interdisciplinary teaching and academic advising and be willing to serve on college-wide faculty committees. Candidates should be technologically capable with an interest in online instruction. Assistant Professor of Philosophy
Tenure-track beginning fall semester, 2009. A thorough grounding in the history of philosophy is desirable. Must have a strong interest in team teaching in an interdisciplinary general education program with a focus on western civilization, demonstrate enthusiastic and effective teaching at the undergraduate level, and maintain productive scholarship. Candidates should be technologically capable with an interest in online instruction. (Position is available pending funding.)

Online Adjunct Faculty
St. Andrews Presbyterian College seeks candidates for an adjunct faculty pool for online undergraduate courses in business, communications, education, and the humanities. Adjuncts will be appointed on a part-time basis and are contracted to teach subjects over an eight-week period with the possibility of recurring assignments. Candidates must have, at minimum, a Masters Degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). Candidates with doctoral degrees will receive preferential consideration.

STAFF POSITIONS
Program Support Specialist
Program Support Specialist. The right candidate will be a software specialist, teaching others how to use software programs, and troubleshooting as needed. This person must have excellent people skills. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience desired. Outstanding organizational skills needed. This person must be able to multi-task and will be required to assist budget users to obtain information, produce and review budget reports as needed, and serve as a key resource for developing annual operating budgets. This specialist will also serve as the backup to the college payroll department.
