Interlibrary Article Request Form
DeTamble Library
St. Andrews Presbyterian College
The mission of DeTamble Library is to support the educational programs of
St. Andrews Presbyterian College by providing access to information and training in its use.
Interlibrary Loan services are provided to meet the information needs of St. Andrews students, staff and faculty. Community patrons may request services from their local public library or the institution they attend.
All photocopied material becomes the property of the person requesting it and must be paid for when copies are picked up at the Circulation Desk. You are responsible for payment if you submit this request. Failure to pay will result in loss of future interlibrary loan privileges. Articles not picked up will be charged to your account.
A maximum of 10 items may be requested at one time. Exceptions will be approved on an individual basis. See Mary McDonald, Reference Services Librarian, to discuss your needs. You may attach a list of articles to one blue form.
St. Andrews students will be charged 10 cents per page for all articles received.
There is no way to determine the exact date your article will arrive. It may take a week or more or it may be here the next day. All efforts are made to have the articles sent electronically, but this is not always possible. You will be notified by campus e-mail when your materials arrive.
"The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and other archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be 'used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.' If the user makes a request for, or later uses, a copy or reproduction for purposes in excess of 'fair use,' that user may be liable for copyright infringement." DeTamble Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
