Hanna nets wins in Lady Knights loss at Pfeiffer
March 21, 2007 MISENHEIMER, N.C.—Sophomore Rachel Hanna (Condord, N.H.) won the only singles match for visiting St. Andrews Presbyterian College as Pfeiffer University pulled out a 7-2 CVAC women’s tennis victory on Wednesday afternoon. Hanna won in her point for the Knights from the No. 5 slot, downing her opponent in a third-set super tie-breaker, 1-6, 7-5, 10-5. Sophomore Charleen Cook (Riverside, Calif.) and freshman Carrie Jones (Spring Hope, N.C.) picked up the other SAPC point on the day winning at No. 3 doubles by an 8-6 score. The Lady Falcons improved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the CVAC while the Knights fell to 0-10 and 0-6.
