MISENHEIMER, N.C.—Sophomore Rachel Hanna (Condord, N.H.) won the only singles match for visiting St. Andrews Presbyterian College as Pfeiffer University pulled out a 7-2 CVAC women’s tennis victory on Wednesday afternoon.
The Lady Falcons improved to 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the CVAC while the Knights fell to 0-10 and 0-6.
Hanna won in her point for the Knights from the No. 5 slot, downing her opponent in a third-set super tie-breaker, 1-6, 7-5, 10-5.
Sophomore Charleen Cook (Riverside, Calif.) and freshman Carrie Jones (Spring Hope, N.C.) picked up the other SAPC point on the day winning at No. 3 doubles by an 8-6 score.
St. Andrews will travel to Wilson, N.C. this weekend for four matches at the 2007 North-South Dual Matches hosted by Barton College.
