Lady Falcons soar past Knights tennis

LAURINBURG, NC—Sophomore Kellie Milam (Emporia, KS) and freshman Charleen Cook (Riverside, CA) won both of their singles matches, but Pfeiffer University won the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference women’s tennis match 7-2 on Wednesday at the Scotland Country Tennis Complex.

The Lady Falcons improved to 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the CVAC, while the Knights fell to 2-13 and 1-7.

Milam escaped with a three-set victory at No. 3 singles by a 6-3, 6-7, 10-8 score while Cook won her second singles match of the season with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6.

St. Andrews hosts CVAC rival Limestone College on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
