SAU Women's Soccer Falls to ColumbiaOctober 26, 2011 Columbia, SC- Columbia College hosted St. Andrews for an exciting game of women’s soccer last night. SAU stepped up the offense and put pressure on the goal for the entire game, but was not able to find the net as they dropped the game 3-0 to the Fighting Koalas.
The Koalas looked to sophomore Jessica Martinez for offensive leadership. Adding a hat-trick to her personal statistics, Martinez managed to score all three goals for Columbia; one of which was assisted by Clare Williamson. Koala keepers Lauren Zarefoss and Elise Grider protected the goal for Columbia by saving three and two respectively. SAU women’s soccer will take the field for the last time in the 2011 season this coming Saturday, October 29. At 4:30 PM, the ladies will take on Coker College in Hartsville, SC. -GO KNIGHTS-
