In their own words...
"Living on campus is a life experience I have learned so much from. We eat together, watch TV together, study together, and do absolutely nothing together. When I go home for breaks, it’s like I’m leaving my second family!"

Box Score

Laurinburg, NC- The Crusaders of North Greenville University wasted no time in this afternoon’s Conference Carolinas women’s soccer game. The Knights were forced to protect the box from the powerful NGU offense as the Crusaders fired 31 shots at SAU, en route to a 0-4 victory over the Knights.

St. Andrews (1-10, 0-8) made a great effort to push up the field as they tried to even the score after Crusader Noelle Beasely ran through the Knights’ defense and scored in the first 3:00 minutes. During their charge on the net, the Knights fired eight shots. Regina Ibanga, who was in the goal for NGU (4-5-1, 3-3-1) for the entire 90:00 minute competition, earned five saves as the majority of SAU’s shots were aimed directly at the net. Senior Chelsea Ross (Newark, NY) and Sophomore Hannah Wilson (Salisbury, NC) led the Knights with two shots a piece.

Katie Jaskulski (Orlando, FL) started today’s game in the goal for SAU. During her 73:45 minutes of play, Jaskulski grabbed 12 saves; missing three of the shots on goal taken by the Crusaders. With a little over 16:00 minutes of play remaining Hannah Platt (Burgaw, NC) suited up and became the keeper for St. Andrews. Jade Salle, a junior at NGU, took the only shot at Platt. Salle booted the ball by Platt at 76:32, giving Salle her second goal of the game and posting what would NGU’s final goal against St. Andrews. Beasely, a Crusader freshman, teamed up with Salle to be the only two Crusaders to score this afternoon as she contributed the aforementioned first Crusader goal and then found the net again at the 68:05 minute mark.

The Knights go up against the Falcons of Pfeiffer University on Wednesday, October 12. SAU will take the field in Misenheimer, NC, to play at 2:00 PM.
