TIGERVILLE, S.C.—Junior Kerrie Brown (Rochester, N.Y.) scored both goals for St. Andrews Presbyterian College including the sudden-death, game-winner in the second overtime period en route to a 2-1 women’s soccer victory at North Greenville University on Saturday.
Brown’s golden goal at the 104:37 mark lifted the Lady Knights to their first win of the season (1-4). Saturday’s 2-1 win was the fourth one-goal game SAPC has already played in this season.
Brown started the scoring in the 16th minute when she put away a pass from sophomore Hannah Sheffield (Lexington, N.C.).
The Crusaders (1-5) tied the match back up at 1-1 with their only goal in the 33rd minute.
Junior goalkeeper Garrison Burton (Atlanta, Ga.) kept North Greenville from scoring another goal making six saves on the afternoon for her first victory in net on the season.
After a scoreless second half and first 10 minute overtime period, Brown finally ended the game with her second tally of day. Once again, Sheffield assisted Brown on the goal. Brown has a team-high three goals on the season.
