Ragusa named All-CVAC First Team honoree
October 30, 2006
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.—Freshman defender Tori Ragusa (Baton Rouge, La.) of St. Andrews Presbyterian College was selected to the 2006 CVAC All-Conference Women’s Soccer First Team at the Honors Banquet during this weekend’s Conference Championship Tournament at Mount Olive College.
Ragusa started for the Lady Knights in all 18 games for SAPC in her freshman campaign. Ragusa was instrumental in helping the Knights lower its goals against average from 3.68 in 2005 to 1.71 in 2006. Ragusa’s help on ‘D’ helped St. Andrews to its most wins in the programs NCAA Division II era with eight. Ragusa also posted one goal and one assist on the year.
The women’s awards were first given out, followed by the men’s awards. Head Coaches from CVAC member institutions nominate and then vote upon the award winners who represent the best of the best for the conference.
