St. Andrews Announces 2011-2012 Wrestling ScheduleOctober 17, 2011 Laurinburg, NC- The St. Andrews University wrestling program would like to officially announce its ’11-’12 schedule. The men of SAW (St. Andrews Wrestling) will participate in 18 matches this season across the southeast, including the 2012 Virginia Duals hosted by the Peninsula Wrestling Association. The Knights will hit the mats on November 4, 2011, at Belmont Abbey College. As the team is away for the first several matches, they will also travel to the Citadel, King College (TN), UNC-Pembroke, and Davidson before grappling at Harris Court. The last SAW match of the 2011 year will be the home opener for the guys. Welcoming fans to Harris Court, St. Andrews will host Limestone College at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Returning to Harris Court, the Knights Grapplers will host Shippensburg University at 7:00 PM for the first match of the 2012 year on Saturday, January 6, 2012. Following another trip to UNC-Pembroke, SAW will make their way to Hampton, VA, for the 2012 Virginia Duals; a two day event at which St. Andrews will participate in four different matches. The Knights will be at home for most of the remainder of the season. During the last two weeks of January and the first two weeks of February St. Andrews will host King College (TN), Spartanburg Methodist College, the Apprentice School, East Carolina University, East Tennessee State, William & Mary, and Truett-McConnell. They will venture away from Laurinburg to travel to Rome, GA, to face Shorter University and Darton College and Davidson, NC, to take on Davidson University and Anderson University.
