Joe Baranik has been several places as an assistant college wrestling coach. His goal was always to end up being a head coach. Three years ago, St. Andrews Presbyterian College announced it was starting a wrestling program and hired Baranik.
After starting his career in Pennsylvania, Baranik has nestled into the Division II landscape at the tiny Laurinburg, N.C., school.
Baranik also has been a crusader in wrestling promotion and publication, contributing to the Pennsylvania Wrestling Newsmagazine since its inception. The PWN was voted Publication of the Year by the National Wrestling Media Association.
