Grabowski Takes Reins of SAU Women's Lacrosse

 

Laurinburg, NC- St. Andrews University would like to announce the appointment of Sheyna Grabowski as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.

Coach Grabowski brings a wealth of program building experience to SAU. Since becoming active in the profession lacrosse world, she has successfully started two programs. The first of which was the Alder Lacrosse Club in Plain City, OH, of which she was the director from 2009-2011. She also generated the women’s lacrosse program at Urbana University in Urbana, OH; acting as the head coach for the 2010-2011 season.

In addition to getting the two aforementioned programs started, Grabowski attained coaching experience while working for Worthington Schools in Worthington, OH, for six years. She also gained valuable experience in the 2009-2010 year as the assistant coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.

The Rochester, NY, native earned her Master’s Degree in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University in 2006; after attaining her undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University in 1999. Grabowski grew up running track and playing soccer and lacrosse. She was also a competitive figure skater in Rochester. While attending Monroe Community College, she played one season of soccer and was a member of the founding women’s lacrosse team. After transferring to Ohio State, she suited up for two more seasons of lacrosse, during which she played midfield, and returned to the ice as a figure skater and a member of the precision skating team for the Buckeyes.

Outside of the office, Grabowski spends the majority of her time looking after her family. She has one son, Zane, who is 12 years old and one daughter, Izabella, who is three years old. Grabowski currently resides in Laurinburg, NC.
