Jolly's Face Paced Records

Laurinburg, NC – St. Andrews Women’s Lacrosse standout Megan Jolly (Waterloo, NY) achieved an impressive milestone in the history of the Knights Women’s Lacrosse program. The sophomore from Waterloo, NY arrived at 100 career goals faster than any other player, reaching the number just in two seasons.

In addition to attaining the 100 goal record, Jolly also owns several other program highs. Jolly currently ranks fourth in career goals, putting her on pace to top the list in total goals in two more years. Furthermore, she leads in totals career assists with an impressive 55. Jolly also is in the top four for total career points, adding up 155 in her two seasons. She is number one for career goals per game, scoring 5.26 goals a game. Jolly is on top for career assists per game with 2.89. Furthermore, Jolly has topped is points per game average with 8.16. Finally, she tied for fourth in draw controls with 50. Jolly is on track to lead in every record category for the program by the time she has completed her four years of competition.

Jolly has played in all 32 games since her start at St. Andrews. She has also scored in every game since the beginning of her career, most of those games having scored multiple goals. Jolly finished her sophomore season leading the Lady Knights in goals (51), assists (34), and points (85). She also picked up 38 ground balls, 21 draw controls, and caused 8 turnovers.

“ Scoring 100 goals in two seasons is great accomplishment for Megan. She is probably one of the best players to read the field and see when and where to drive to the cage,” said SAPC head coach Kati Robbins. “Megan is a great player and I look forward to seeing what she can do in the next two seasons.”

In 2010, Jolly was selected to the Second Team All-Conference and she finished the 2011 season with First Team All-Conference honors.
