Laurinburg, N.C. – The Lady Knights (4-8) welcomed in Lenoir-Rhyne (3-7) on Sunday afternoon for sixty minutes of Lacrosse, and to honor our seniors on senior day. Surrounded by a cold and rainy climate, St. Andrews managed to come together for their upperclassmen and claw their way to an 11-8 victory.

The Lady Knights set the tone for the game by dominating the first half with stellar defense and very efficient offense bringing St. Andrews to a halftime lead by the score of 7-3. The Knights continued their solid play in the second and preserved a lead throughout, leading to a win for the Lady Knights with the score of 11-8.

eading the way for the Lady Knights was Senior Kim McDaniel (Joppa, MD) who netted four goals, while Sophomore Megan Jolly (Waterloo, NY) added three goals to go along with her two assists. St. Andrews also received a jolt from Juniors Anna Egeln (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) who scored two goals and Chelsea Ross who added one herself. Senior Morgan Achilles (Geneva, NY) protected the pipes with six saves. The Lady Knights take to the field again on Saturday as they travel to Pfeiffer University with the game starting at 12 p.m.
