Kerrie Brown named to national All-Rookie Team

LAURINBURG, N.C.—Freshman attack Kerrie Brown ( Rochester, N.Y.) of St. Andrews Presbyterian College was selected to the 2007 NCAA Division II All American Rookie Team announced by the staff of Womenslacrosse.com.

Brown, who was also a 2007 First Team All-CVAC honoree, had a record-breaking freshman season at St. Andrews. Brown’s 58 goals and 72 points in 2007 shattered the SAPC single-season records for both categories. Brown, a two-time CVAC Player of the Week this year (March 21 & 28), ranks nationally in both goals and points per game this year. Brown, who has two game-winning goals on the season, also ranks second on the Knights squad in both ground balls and draw controls. Brown had game-highs of seven goals, three assists, and nine points throughout the season and scored at least one goal in 16 of her first 17 games of her collegiate career.
