THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Freshman Kerrie Brown (Rochester, N.Y.) of St. Andrews Presbyterian College was named to the 2007 Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Women’s Lacrosse team during the CVAC Lacrosse Championships Banquet hosted by Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C., on Friday evening.

Brown was named to the All-CVAC First Team as an attack in a record-breaking freshman season at St. Andrews. Brown’s 58 goals and 72 points in 2007 shattered the SAPC single-season records for both categories. Brown, a two-time CVAC Player of the Week this year (March 21 & 28), ranks nationally in both goals and points per game. Brown, who has two game-winning goals on the season, also ranks second on the Knights squad in both ground balls and draw controls. Brown had game-highs of seven goals, three assists, and nine points throughout the season and scored at least one goal in 16 of her first 17 games of her collegiate career.

The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, and All-CVAC First Team and All-CVAC Honorable Mention.
