THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Kerrie Brown of St. Andrews Presbyterian College (3-8 overall, 0-5 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number four in the 2007 season.
Freshman Kerrie Brown kept the St. Andrews women's lacrosse team in two tough games this past week with 11 points over that span. Brown had five goals and one assist to lead the Knights in a loss against the University of New Haven on Tuesday. Brown matched her goal total on Saturday with another five goal performance in a CVAC showdown against Belmont Abbey. Brown led St. Andrews in goals in both contests. The Rochester, N.Y. native has 37 goals, 12 assists, and 49 points on the season through 11 games for the Knights.
St. Andrews will host CVAC rival Lees-McRae College on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
