THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Kelsey Binggeli of St. Andrews Presbyterian College (3-4 overall, 0-4 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women's lacrosse Player of the Week during the first week in the 2007 season.

Sophomore Kelsey Binggeli leads the CVAC in goals and points helping St. Andrews Presbyterian College to three wins in the first couple weeks of the 2007 women's lacrosse season. Binggeli leads the Knights in all three major statistical categories with 24 goals, 8 assists, and 32 points. Binggeli has scored at least one goal in all six of St. Andrews games so far this season and is averaging a staggering 4.0 goals/game. The Newark, New York, native has already tallied two game-winning goals against Seton Hill and Presbyterian this season. Binggeli has also tied the St. Andrews single-game record of nine points in a game twice this season with nine points in both the Methodist and Belmont Abbey games. Binggeli is averaging 5.33 points/game on the '07 campaign.

Binggeli continued her strong play on Tuesday as the Knights almost pulled off an upset over No. 7 nationally ranked Pfeiffer University. Binggeli increased her team-high totals to 27 goals and 35 points with a hat trick against the Falcons as SAPC lost a very close 16-14 contest.

St. Andrews will next take the field on Saturday, March 10 when they host Regis College (Colorado) at 1:00 p.m.
