GAFFNEY, SC— The No. 5 Limestone College women’s lacrosse team cruised by St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a 20-4 win on Saturday at Saints Field. Limestone maintains its perfect CVAC record with its seventh conference victory of the year and climbed to 11-2 overall. St. Andrews fell to 1-6 in the CVAC and 3-9 overall.
Limestone built an eight-goal advantage at halftime and out-scored St. Andrews 10-2 in the second period.
Kelly Lickert (Penn Yan, NY) led the Lady Saints with five goals and five assists, while Lauryn Wise (Pasadena, MD) scored three goals and recorded an assist. Brook Nowell (Linthicum, MD), Kristen Black (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), Marissa Pesce (West Babylon, NY), and Jessica Verran (Lansing, MI) each notched two goals, while Shannon Nolan (Shady Side, MD), Danielle Tosky (Bluffton, SC), Jessica Green (Rehoboth Beach, DE), and Shea Farrell (Blue Point, NY) also put points on the board for Limestone.
Senior Ashley Kondziela (Vernon Hill, VA) scored her first goal of the season to put the Knights on the board.
Freshman Kelsey Binggeli (Newark, NY) added a team-high two goals and freshman Katie Wright (Waterloo, NY) tallied her team-high 24th of the year.
Freshman goalkeeper Eryn McCaffrey (Cicero, NY) made eight saves.
The Knights travel to non-conference Averett College (Danville, VA) on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
