THOMASVILLE, NC— Katie Wright of St. Andrews Presbyterian College (2-6 overall, 1-3 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) women’s lacrosse Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Freshman attack Katie Wright posted a game, season, and career-high eight points in St. Andrews Presbyterian College’s first-ever Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference women’s lacrosse victory on Sunday. Wright helped the Knights defeat visiting CVAC rival Lees-McRae 15-3 with four goals and four assists. Wright was also credited with the game-winning goal in the showdown with the Lady Bobcats. Wright is second at SAPC in all three major statistical categories with 13 goals, five assists, and 18 points.
Wright and the St. Andrews women’s lacrosse team will go for the programs season-best third win on Friday, when they travel to Rocky Mount, NC, for a non-conference game against NC Wesleyan at 4:00 p.m.
