LAURINBURG, NC—Freshman midfielder Kelsey Binggeli (Newark, NY) of St. Andrews Presbyterian College was selected as the NCAA Division II Rookie of the Week by the Bert & Ernie section of the www.womenslacrosse.com for her performance last week.

Binggeli recorded a hat trick in the Knights first win of the season, a 10-9 road victory against Presbyterian College. Binggeli also added two assists for a five-point explosion against the Lady Blue Hose. Binggeli capped the day with the game-winning score with 1:15 left in the game.

Through four games, Binggeli leads St. Andrews in all three scoring categories with eight goals, four assists, and 12 points.

The Knights will go for their second victory of the season on Friday, when they host CVAC rival Belmont Abbey at 2:00 p.m.
