GREENSBORO, N.C.—The five scoring Lady Knights all finished in the top-20 of the NCAA Division II portion of the Women’s 5,000-meter race at the 23rd Annual Greensboro Cross Country Invitational to help St. Andrews Presbyterian College to a second place finish out of 21 D-II teams.

All 10 Lady Knights runners wore green bands during the race with the initials AV in support of a full recovery for junior teammate Adam Vick. The men’s team co-captain from Salisbury, N.C., was struck by a car during practice last week and is currently being treated in his hometown.

St. Andrews, who has been ranked No. 5 in the Southeast Region for the past three weeks, finished second with 83 points. No. 2 regionally ranked North Carolina Central University won the women’s team title.

Sophomore Alyson Trovato (Cedar Park, Texas) led the Lady Knights with a third place finish out of 68 Division II runners and a 12th place result out of all 181 NCAA entrants. Trovato finished the 5k course in 20:03.
