Fulcher Crashes the Boards at North Greenville

Tigerville, SC- St. Andrews women’s basketball faced the Crusaders of North Greenville University this afternoon. The Knights found themselves going up against several hot hands as they could not restrain the high scoring Crusaders. Finishing with a final score of 96-41, St. Andrews dropped to the Crusaders at Hayes Gymnasium in Tigerville, SC.

Brittany Roberts (Concord, NC) and Rachel Hewitt (Kokomo, IN) were the only two Knights to score in the double digits in today’s game. Roberts put up five baskets from the field and earned four points from the line after driving to the hoop and drawing several fouls. Hewitt made the only SAU buckets from behind the arc after knocking down two long range shots in addition to her contributions from around the lane.

Junior Kimayah Fulcher (New Bern, NC) also added to St. Andrews’ overall performance by adding seven points and pulling down the game high of 10 rebounds.

The Knights put up their hands this afternoon and shut down several shots taken by the Crusaders. Angeline Domingo-Francois (Burtonsville, MD) pulled down three blocks, with teammates Beneé Norton (Atlanta, GA) and Rebecca Bryant (Cincinnati, OH) also adding blocks, two and one respectively, to the SAU books.

The ladies will travel to Coker College in Hartsville, SC, for their next matchup. They will hit the court to prepare for tip-off at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, January 10.
