Galina Podolsky begins her sophomore season with the St. Andrews volleyball team.
In her freshman year at SAPC, Podolsky was named the CVAC Freshman of the Year. Podolsky played in 37 matches and 131 games as a rookie compiling an impressive 396 kills, .267 hitting percentage, 137 digs, 115 blocks, and 57 aces. Podolsky, who holds her high schools record in career digs, kills, blocks, and aces; was a three-time Academic All-Conference, and two-time team MVP.
The Raleigh, N.C., native is a fan of beach volleyball player Keri Walsh and Duke University. Podolsky likes eating fried rice and her favorite movie is ‘Love Actually’. Podolsky enjoys listening to alternative music and likes reading the Harry Potter series. Podolsky’s parents, Andrei and Marina, are her hero’s and she would like to visit Hawaii. “Never, never, never give up,” Winston Churchill.
