Katie Lovett is one of five freshmen on the 2007 St. Andrews volleyball team.

Lovett is a defensive specialist from Central Cabarrus High School. Lovett had a successful playing career in high school being named a ME-CA 6 All-Conference, Senior All-Star, and Viking Invitational All-Tournament Team selection. Lovett had 210 digs and a 92 serving percentage in 2006.

Lovett’s favorite athlete is her hero, Michael Jordan, and she also cheers for the Atlanta Braves. The Concord, N.C., native likes hot dogs, all types of music, and her favorite movie is ‘A League of Their Own.” The daughter of Elizabeth Diane Lovett would like to visit Australia. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” Eleanor Roosevelt.
