St. Andrews Unveils Volleyball ScheduleJuly 19, 2011 Laurinburg, N.C.— First year head coach Angela Franke has released the St. Andrews Presbyterian College volleyball schedule for 2011 that features17 Conference Carolinas matches, two regular season tournaments, and several Tri-Match events. The St. Andrews netters will hit the courts in Tri-Match events up and down the east coast this season. For their first Tri-Match, the Lady Knights will make their longest trip of the season as they head to Edward Waters in Jacksonville, FL. After a handful of conference matches, the next Tri-Match stop will be located in Hartsville, SC, on Conference Carolinas foe Coker College’s campus. On October 15, St. Andrews will travel to King College, a new member of Conference Carolinas, in Bristol, TN, for their final Tri-Match event. St. Andrews will host a Conference Carolinas match up against Limestone College for its home opener on Friday, September 30. All home games will be free for all fans so that everyone can rally for their Lady Knights. Women’s Volleyball will host 8 home games this season; the majority of which will be held in October. SAPC will host its annual Dig for the Cure game in October to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Another special day for the Lady Knights will beFriday, November 4, which has been designated as SAPC’s volleyball ‘Senior Day’. The Conference Carolinas Tournament will follow the Lady Knights’ regular season play, which ends with a final match at Pfeiffer University on Saturday, November 5, at 1:00 PM. -GO KNIGHTS- |
