SAPC volleyball nets sweep over CVAC rival Pfeiffer

LAURINBURG, N.C.—The St. Andrews Presbyterian College volleyball team posted a .231 hitting percentage and 10 aces in a three-game sweep of Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference opponent Pfeiffer University on Saturday in Harris Court.

With the 30-26, 30-17, 30-23 victory, the Lady Knights improved to 14-15 overall and 7-6 in the CVAC. The Lady Falcons fell to 12-13 overall and 7-9 in the conference.

Senior Jesi Bewley (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior Lindsey Stansbury (Morgan City, La.) led the St. Andrews offense with 12 kills apiece. Bewley also had a team-high .455 hitting % and six blocks.

Senior setter Kim Harper (Boca Raton, Fla.) set up the ‘O’ with 38 assists while junior libero Erin Haugen (Fort Mill, S.C.) made 20 digs. Harper and Stansbury each served up three aces while Harper dug up 14 digs. Junior Tara Lemieux (Panama City, Fla.) chipped in with nine kills and 12 digs.

The Lady Knights entertain CVAC rival Queens University of Charlotte on Monday at 6:30 p.m. SAPC defeated the Royals 30-18, 30-20, 30-20 on September 11.
