WILSON, N.C.—Visiting St. Andrews Presbyterian College rallied to win the final four points of the first two games Tuesday night, then won the final game for a 3-0 Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference sweep of Barton College in Wilson Gymnasium.
The 30-27, 30-27, 30-24 victory upped the Knights’ record to 12-12 overall and 5-3 in the CVAC while Barton slid to 6-13 overall and 3-10 in the CVAC.
Junior outside hitter Lindsey Stansbury (Morgan City, La.) powered the SAPC attack with 15 kills, 14 digs and four aces. Freshmen middle blocker Galina Podolsky (Raleigh, N.C.) finished with 10 kills, three blocks and two aces and senior setter Kim Harper (Boca Raton, Fla.) logged 43 assists, two blocks and two aces.
For Barton, junior Michelle Walker notched 16 kills, two aces, 12 digs and three block assists. Junior setter Hallie Fuller had 34 assists, two aces and two block assists. Kyle Petty and Liz Strange totaled 11 and 16 digs, respectively.
Barton hits the road to Spartanburg, S.C., Friday night for a CVAC tilt against Converse College at 7:00 p.m.
