MISENHEIMER, NC—The St. Andrews Presbyterian College volleyball team dropped a Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference match to host Pfeiffer University in three straight games (30-22, 30-20, 30-27) Monday.
The Falcons improved to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the CVAC, while the Knights fell to 1-8 and 1-3.
Junior setter Kim Harper (Boca Raton, FL) led the Knights with 18 digs and 17 assists. Junior hitter Jesi Bewley (Cincinnati, OH) had a team-high 13 kills, two blocks and two service aces. Freshman defensive specialist Dani Ghramm (Hayden, ID) added 11 digs, 10 kills and four assists. Sophomore libero Erin Haugen (Ft. Mills, SC) scooped up 15 digs and junior outside hitter Lauren McManus (Raleigh, NC) chipped in with 12 digs, four kills and two assists.
Pfeiffer’s leaders including Morgan Liebert (35 assists), Vera Taylor (15 kills), Brittany Poole (18 digs), and Heather Klein (6 blocks).
The Knights travel to Gaffney, SC, to take on CVAC rival Limestone on Saturday. SAPC continues to travel south on Sunday when they battle the CVAC’s newest member, Converse, in Spartanburg, SC. Both matches are slated for a 2:00 p.m. start.
