No. 2 Lees-McRae defeats No. 3 Coker, 3-2, in CVAC Semifinals

LAURINBURG, NC—In the second semifinal of the 2005 CVAC Volleyball Tournament No. 2 seed Lees-McRae College defeated No. 3 seed Coker College 3-2 (30-22, 26-30, 30-26, 21-30, 15-12) Saturday afternoon in Harris Court on the campus of St. Andrews Presbyterian College.

The Bobcats improved to 26-10 and will play No. 1 seed Mount Olive College in the finals of the CVAC tournament on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Harris Court. The Cobras fell to 17-15.

Senior outside hitter Andrea Manuel (Spartanburg, SC) was named to the 2005 CVAC All-Tournament team after helping lead Coker to the semifinals.
