No. 1 Mount Olive defeats No. 4 Converse, 3-1, in CVAC Semifinals

LAURINBURG, NC—In the first semifinal of the 2005 CVAC Volleyball Tournament No. 1 seed Mount Olive College defeated No. 4 seed Converse College 3-1 (30-16, 28-30, 30-21, 30-23) Saturday afternoon in Harris Court on the campus of St. Andrews Presbyterian College.

The Trojans improved to 28-6 and will play the winner of the No. 2 Lees-McRae/No. 3 Coker game in the finals of the CVAC tournament on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Harris Court. The All Stars fell to 22-15.

Freshman outside hitter Elizabeth Roberds ( Savannah, GA) was named to the 2005 CVAC All-Tournament team after helping lead Converse to the semifinals.
