LAURINBURG, NC—The St. Andrews softball team will play in four games during the 2006 Francis Marion University Patriot Invitational Softball Tournament on March 10-12 at the Freedom Florence Softball Complex in Florence, SC.

The Knights open up the tournament with two evening games on Friday, March 10. SAPC will have a chance to avenge a doubleheader sweep by Catawba College with a 6:00 p.m. showdown. The Indians defeated the Knights 8-2 and 6-3 on Feb. 16.

St. Andrews turns around and will battle Peach Belt Conference school Lander University at 8:00 p.m. Friday night.

The Knights are scheduled to only play one game on Saturday. St. Andrews will face Benedict College with first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m.

St. Andrews concludes the tournament with an early morning showdown with Chowan College on Sunday. The finale is scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. start.
