St. Andrews Reveals 2011 Men's Soccer Schedule

Laurinburg, N.C.— The St. Andrews Presbyterian College men’s soccer program announced its 16-game regular season schedule for the 2011 fall season.

St. Andrews kicks of 2011 regular season play at UNC-Pembroke (Pembroke, NC). At 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 1. The next oppurtunity for the Knights will be on Saturday, September 3 against Chowan University. The Knights will play in Murfreesboro where they will try to replay their last visit to Chowan; where the Knights surpassed the Hawks of Chowan with an impressive 7-1 victory last season.

Four days later, the Knights will host their home season opener on Wednesday, September 7, against Catawba College at 4:00 PM. All home games will be free for all fans so that everyone can come out and support Knights soccer.

The Knights will make seven home appearances during regular season play this fall. Five of those match ups will be against Conference Carolinas opponents: Barton College, Queens University of Charlotte, Erskine College, North Greenville University, and Limestone College. St. Andrews will travel to the other conference matches against Lees-McRae College (Banner Elk, NC), Mount Olive College (Mount Olive, NC), Belmont Abbey College (Belmont, NC), King College (Bristol, TN), Pfeiffer University (Misenheimer, NC), and Coker College (Hartsville, SC).

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 22. The Knights will host Conference Carolinas rival Saints of Limestone College for SAPC’s ‘Senior Day’. The contest will begin at 3:00 PM, following the Lady Knights’ game to be held at 1:00 PM.

The 2011 Conference Carolinas Tournament will once again be three-rounds with the top-eight teams in the regular season standings qualifying for tourney. Teams earn three points for every regular season league win and one point for a tie. All three rounds will be contested at the higher seed with the quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 1; the semifinals on Friday, November 4; and the finals on Sunday, November 6.
