Keep Up with Knights Info via Text October 14, 2011 Laurinburg, NC- Attention Knights fans, there is now a new way to keep up with SAU Athletics, and it is called ‘Nixle’. Nixle is a Community Information Service that the university has recently started using. The service will send out notifications about campus events and will also be used for emergency notifications. How does this affect sports fans? Well, Knights fan are now able to sign up for this free service and will be able to get game reminders as well as scores from SAU athletic events. Please register for our new Community Information Service, powered by Nixle (www.nixle.com). The information we publish via this service can be sent directly to you via text, email and/or web message. Notifications can also be accessed online at Nixle’s web site or you can add your cell phone number to this service by accessing the following link. (http://www.sapc.edu/studentlife/ ) The service is secure, reliable, and easy to use. YOUdecide what information you want and whether you want it sent to your cell phone, email, or just simply over the web. The announcements can include notifications about weather, sports, campus activities, and emergency information. Register now at the company’s main web site: www.nixle.com. Based on the address or intersection location you enter, you will automatically qualify to receive the St. Andrews messages just by signing up. New communication forms continue to evolve and we believe this service will allow us to keep you informed in the most convenient, reliable way possible.
