HIGH POINT, N.C.—St. Andrews Presbyterian College’s Alexandra King has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas Women's Track Athlete of the Week during week number one in the 2010 outdoor season.
Junior Alexandra King scored all six of St. Andrews Presbyterian College's team points in this past weekend Division I dominated Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC Wilmington by finishing third in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
King posted a time of 13:05.57 in the endurance race while also competing in two other running events.
King placed 13th overall in the 5000m run with a time of 21:13.71 and 14th overall in the 100m hurdles with a speed of 18.10.
The Tucson, AZ., native set benchmark times in all three events in her first track competition at SAPC. The Seahawk Invite had six Division I institutions competing in the meet.
