March 14-15, 2008 WILMINGTON, N.C.—The St. Andrews Presbyterian College men’s track & field team set an incredible 17 individual personal records at the 2008 Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC Wilmington on Friday and Saturday at the Greene Track Complex. The Knights, competing in their second competition of the season, also set four school records while going up against a field primarily made up of NCAA Division I competitors and universities. Junior Mitch Cooper (Virginia Beach, Va.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the second time in as many tries this year. Cooper beat his old school record by 27 seconds to win the event with a blazing time of 9:46.55. Three other Knights added PR’s in the steeplechase including freshman Doug Holt (Toms River, N.J.) with a time of 10:45.00; sophomore James Lloyd (Lusby, Md.) with a speed of 11:00.83; and senior Patrick Hogan (Denton, N.C.) at 11:53.25.
