Reuben wins in Knights loss to Pfeiffer

LAURINBURG, NC—Junior Daniel Reuben (Esher, Surray, England) won a thrilling three set match at No. 1 singles for St. Andrews, but visiting Pfeiffer University took the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference match 8-1 on Wednesday at the Scotland County Tennis Complex.

The Falcons improved to 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the CVAC, while the Knights fell to 2-11 and 1-7.

After dropping the first set 5-7, Reuben answered with a 6-3 score in the second and an11-9 tiebreaker to win his third singles match of the season. Pfeiffer won all three doubles matches and claimed the other five singles matches in two sets.

St. Andrews will host CVAC rival Limestone on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
