Dalen Crouse named CVAC lacrosse offensive Player of the Week

THOMASVILLE, N.C.—Dalen Crouse of St. Andrews Presbyterian College(7-3 overall, 3-0 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) men's lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week during week five of the 2007 season.

Senior attack Dalen Crouse led the St. Andrews Presbyterian College men's lacrosse team to two huge wins this week with a team-high 12 points and two game-winning goals. The Knights moved back into the national top-10 ranking at No. 9 after winning last weeks games and extending their season-long win streak to four games. Crouse helped SAPC remain perfect in the CVAC at 3-0 with a five-point performance against conference foe Queens University of Charlotte. Crouse had a game-high four goals and an assist to lead the Knights offensively. Crouse backed up that performance with a game-high seven point showing against then No. 6 nationally ranked Adelphi. Crouse dished out a game-high five assists while also scoring twice. The St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, who was credited with the game-winning goal in both contests, ranks second on the Knights squad with 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists).

St. Andrews will go for five straight victories when they visit non-conference Presbyterian College (Clinton, S.C.) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
