BALTIMORE, Md.—The St. Andrews Presbyterian College has been picked No. 9 in the NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse preseason national poll released by Lacrosse Magazine on Wednesday.
The Knights, who finished the 2006 season with an 8-7 overall and 7-2 Deep South Conference record, will be participating in the newly formed Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference in 2007. St. Andrews will compete against five other CVAC schools including preseason nationally ranked No. 6 Limestone College.
St. Andrews has received a lot of attention during the off-season including having three Knights being named a preseason All-Americans (John Osterritter, Zach Mryncza, and Dan Hartzell) by Inside Lacrosse.
