St. Andrews Golf Announces Fall 2011 Men's and Women's Schedule

Laurinburg, NC- St. Andrews Presbyterian College Golf program has announced the schedules for the men’s and women’s teams for the fall of 2011.

The men will get the fall season rolling when they travel to South Carolina for the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted by USC Aiken. The Knights will make their third appearance in the two-day tournament, which will be held on Monday and Tuesday September 5-6.

The following week, the women’s team will start off their season as they and the men will play in the Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate. Carson-Newman College will host this two-day event at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, TN.

Only a few days later, the SAPC men will head to the Mid-Carolina Country Club (Prosperity, SC) for The Honda of Columbia Fall Classic for the fourth time. The men will be teeing off with extreme focus as they take on South Atlantic Conference (SAC) member and event host Newberry College as well as other strong competition.

The Lady Knights will make their first solo appearance of the season on Monday, September 19, in Mount Gilead, NC. The ladies have been invited to participate in the Pfeiffer M&W Fall Intercollegiate hosted by fellow Conference Carolinas member Pfeiffer University.

In October, the men and women will travel together two more times. First, the teams will show off their skills at Sunset Beach, NC, in the L-R/Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University and Lincoln Memorial University. Next, SAPC will make the trek down to Palm Beach Gardens, FL, for the NSU Shark Invitational hosted by Nova Scotia University.

Upon their return from Florida, the Lady Knights will make their final fall appearance at the Patsy Randleman Invitational. SAPC will play in the event for the third time on Monday and Tuesday, October 17-18.

Finishing off their season, the men will travel back to Florida. Queens University of Charlotte is holding the Queens Invitational at the TPC Sawgrass: Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. On October 31 and November 1, the Knights will face strong competition for the third year in a row at the Queens Invitational.
