Yeung named CVAC All-Conference golfer

HARTSVILLE, SC—Junior Alvin Yeung (Markham, Ontario, Canada) was named to the 2006 Men’s Golf All-CVAC Honorable Mention list on Friday.

The Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference All-CVAC Teams were determined by vote from each Head Coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, and All-CVAC First Teams, Second Teams, and Honorable Mention Teams. Awards were presented at the CVAC Golf Championship Banquet hosted by Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina.

Yeung, the 2004 CVAC Freshman of the Year and now three-time All-CVAC selection, held a 77.65 scoring average for the Knights heading into the conference tournament. Yeung played in eight tournaments including one top-five finish. Yeung was the Knights most consistent golfer in the spring leading SAPC in four of five spring tournaments. Yeung posted 12-of-17 rounds in the 70’s.
