Greenville, SC- The St. Andrews University men’s cross country team hit the trail at the Furman Invitational this weekend, where they competed against teams from across the southeast. The Knights ran their way to a 9 th place finish out of the 12 teams that participated in the race.

The Knights’ second place runner was Dagmawi Abebe (Gaithersburg, MD), who finished 25 th overall with a time of 27:40.

Tyler Beaver, a Hillsborough, NC, native, found his way into the third place spot for SAU. The Furman Invitational marked the conclusion of the Knights’ regular season for the fall of 2011. While there are no more races scheduled for this season, the Knights Harriers may try to find their way to a few more trails to run as individuals.
