Bulldogs Run Away from KnightsJanuary 25, 2012 Attempting to propel the Knights ahead of the Bulldogs, Antonio Moffitt (Raleigh, NC) posted 18 points for SAU tonight. Jordan Baber (Upper Marlboro, MD) and Williams also put up double digit points by scoring 11 and 12 respectively. Demetrius Monroe (High Point, NC) and Ryan Streater (Charlotte, NC) both went 100% from the line tonight, followed by Baber who shot 75% and Marc Newton (Charlotte, NC) and Moffitt who each went 50%. SAU hit the boards as a team tonight, with almost everyone grabbing at least one rebound. All together, the guys picked up 31 rebounds, 22 being defensive. The Knights got into trouble when they could not stop the Bulldogs from penetrating the paint, as Barton grabbed 17 offense rebounds and gave themselves numerous second-chance possibilities.
Look for more Knights basketball on Saturday, January 28. St. Andrews will host Erskine College at 4:00 PM on Saturday for their last home game in January. Including Saturday, there are only four more chances to catch the Knights in action at Harris Court, so come out and support your Knights as they take on the Flying Fleet. -GO KNIGHTS-

Prior to tonight’s game, the St. Andrews Athletic Department invited a group of Scotland High School JROTC members to present the Colors in remembrance of 1st Lt. Ashley White Stumpf, who gave her life in October 2011 while she was serving her country in Afghanistan. Before going overseas, Ashley worked at St. Andrews as an Athletic Trainer. She was a great co-worker and friend who has been, and will continue to be, greatly missed.
