In their own words...
"Living on campus is a life experience I have learned so much from. We eat together, watch TV together, study together, and do absolutely nothing together. When I go home for breaks, it’s like I’m leaving my second family!"

Box Score

Laurinburg, NC- Senior Chris Sumski (Charlotte, NC) drove the crowd crazy tonight, putting up nine three-pointers for St. Andrews. Despite the Knights’ efforts, Belmont Abbey rallied back late in the game to edge by the Knights. After having control of the court for 95% of the game, SAU could not stop the Crusaders’ offense as they fell to the Abbey 99-93.

Sumski started off the game by throwing a quick shot from long distance to put the Knights on the board first. After his impressive performance behind the arc, Sumski racked up 27 total points while also grabbing a round for SAU. Antonio Moffitt (Raleigh, NC) also found the basket as he posted 18 for the Knights, followed by Ryan Streater (Charlotte, NC) and Aaron Christian (New Bedford, MA), who put up 17 and 15 respectively.

Michael Dunkins (Candor, NC) was active under the basket for St. Andrews by working his way through the mob and grabbing 11 rebounds, taking away eight second-chance shots from the Abbey. Christian tallied nine rebounds, with Streater close behind at seven.

Once again, Christian looked to find the open man on the court and dished out 12 assists this evening; taking him to a season total of 105. Christian was just shy of earning another triple-double after totaling 15 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds.

The SAU men shot 77.8% from the line as they sunk seven of their nine free-throw attempts.

Look for more Knights basketball action on Wednesday, January 18, as St. Andrews travels to Mount Olive College. The men will take the court for a tip-off time of 7:30 PM. Check the St. Andrews Athletic webpage for live statistics and video during Wednesday’s game.
